What you should be aware of
- There are rumors that Samsung is toying with the idea of releasing a "enhanced performance" FE handset, which might be a scaled-down version of the Galaxy S Ultra to take against the iPhone Pro.
- It is said that the business is interested in developing a "Fold Lite" because there appear to be two prototypes—one with a smaller cover display and the other without.
- Regarding reports of a less expensive "FE" foldable for 2024, Samsung has refuted them.
- Should Samsung proceed with a "Fold Lite," it might not come with a "Flip Lite" counterpart.
There have been rumors circulating about possible adjustments that Samsung plans to make to its Galaxy S25 series of smartphones.
According to information from Naver, Samsung might "implement a new design code" after 2025 and might think about releasing a Galaxy FE device with "enhanced performance" (via Tech_Reve on X). According to rumors, this "enhanced" FE Android phone is actually a smaller Galaxy S Ultra, which the Korean OEM is aiming to take on in the Apple iPhone Pro market.
Take it with a grain of salt, as nothing about this possible plan has allegedly been confirmed by Samsung. The story also mentions that Samsung's flagship lineup might not change for a while, if at all, not until the Galaxy S28 series.
In the meanwhile, it seems like Samsung may decide to release fewer devices in the genre, which would result in a reduced portfolio for the Galaxy A series.

Rumors persist that once the Fold 6 launches in 2024, a "Galaxy Fold Lite" may be in the works. There are reportedly two Fold Lite prototypes under development: one with an external display that is smaller and one without. According to reports, the former is significantly smaller than the 4.6-inch cover display that Samsung fitted on the original Fold.
Furthermore, if Samsung proceeds with this "Lite" concept, it might only introduce one foldable device—the larger book-style foldable—so we shouldn't anticipate a "Flip Lite." Amazon
It's important to remember that there have previously been reports of a "lite" or "budget" Samsung foldable, since the business was allegedly testing the concept back in November. A subsequent article, however, refuted any such intentions for 2024, echoing fresh claims of a possible "Fold Lite" that would arrive after the Fold 6 ships. Furthermore, a representative for Samsung implied that a "Galaxy Z Flip FE" or something like is still possible, so we'll have to wait and see where things go.
Again, though, proceed with caution as the corporation has not yet made any announcements and these purported plans are subject to change.
A week ago, in the meantime, we were given to several rumors regarding the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Fold 6. There was conjecture surrounding a novel aspect ratio for the display, distinct from the "tall and narrow" cover screen of the Fold 5. Apart from that, there was no additional information provided regarding what more Samsung could do to improve either display.
Following rumors that the clamshell Flip 6 will get a cover display that was almost four inches in size, the device may get smaller interior bezels. Amazon
